A Fundraiser for a Worthy Cause – Support Claire’s Surgery Expenses

Dear readers,

Jim and Claire reached out to me regarding their fundraiser for medical and dental costs not covered by insurance.  I would appreciate it if anyone has a way to assist them via a foundation, private donations, media coverage, or other means.  To date they have only been able to raise $800 of a $30,000 need.  Feel free to share this post on any social media outlets.

Contact information for Jim – he can be reached by a DM on Twitter – @SkyrtJim – which he is quick to respond to, or on his GoFundMe page – Support Claire’s Surgery Expenses (https://www.gofundme.com/be7ktv3s).   Please contact him directly if you are able to assist in any way.

Jim and Claire’s Story

Do You have Real Close Friend who You really Care about and would do anything You needed to do to help that Friend in a Real Time of Need? That is What & Why I am running this Camapign for my friend, Claire.

My name is Jim, and this campaign is very important and very personal to me because it involves my friend Claire, 61, who is retired with no insurance or pension.  She was diagnosed 6 months ago with Silent Acid Reflux and now needs both major oral and stomach surgery and throat surgery.  Her health is now in a life threatening situation if she does not have these surgeries.

Her acid level is over 49 – a normal pH level in a person is 5.2-7.5.  She is being treated, but the damage to her teeth, esophagus and throat is already done.  She has 6  teeth that need caps and another 18 need to be looked at as well. She will also require throat surgery to prevent her from developing esophageal and throat cancer that has been caused by acid in her system.

We need to raise $30,000 to cover ALL medical and dental costs.  Her dental costs are extensive as she needs caps for  her teeth and molds of her teeth.

About My Friend Claire

Claire

Claire and I met about 3 years ago, we were both attending a seminar on Grieving. I had recently lost my significant other, she had lost a relative of hers.  We starting talking and realized how much we had in common interests such as sports, reading, and enjoying life.

There is NOTHING I wouldn’t do for her and NOTHING she would not do for me – that is the reason for this campaign, A True Friend helping A True Friend in a REAL TIME OF NEED.

Her Acid Level is over 49 – the Normal pH level in a Person is 5.2-7.5- she is being Treated, but the Damage to her Teeth. Esophagus and Throat is done.  She has 6  teeth that need caps and another 18 need to be looked at as well. She will also require throat surgery to prevent her from developing esophageal and throat cancer that has been caused by acid in her system.
