Camp NaNoWriMo April 2014 Edition

2014-NaNoWriMo Participant-Vertical-Banner AprilToday is the first day of Camp NaNoWriMo, April edition.  Usually the camp is held in July and November, but this year it is being held for an extra month – April!  I’m excited to be part of this unusual writing event, and I’ve already written slightly more than 5,000 words towards my 50,000 word goal.

The book I’m focused on writing is Zombie Asylum, the sequel to I Dream of Zombies (Rose Lee’s Zombie Adventures Book 1).  Rose Lee will be back, and this time she is working at the local zombie asylum.  I can’t tell you everything in my book outline, but I can assure you that it will be full of comedy and zombie hijinx!  Some of the cast from the first book will be returning, including Alex and Lenny.  A few more characters will be introduced, and a few nasty individuals from the asylum will get what they deserve by the end of the story.

Once the book is finished, edited, and run through a beta read, it will be off and running on another book tour.  This is my favorite part of the writing process – getting to ‘meet’ my fans and book bloggers.  Once I have established the dates for the tour and book/swag giveaway, I’ll be sharing the details here.

  1. Charlotte, you know how much I loved ‘I Dream of Zombies’ – I am looking forward to your sequel!
Hooray for Camp NaNoWriMo and your participation! 🙂

    • Hi Karen! I’m excited about this sequel – Rose is working as an activities director at the local zombie asylum. Things will get a little crazy as she finds herself caught up in a breakout plan conceived by some of the more lucid zombies.

I’ll be sure to post more as this book progresses – all is going well so far in NaNoWriMo land!

      • Hi Charlotte, I’m thrilled! If you need a beta reader or a reviewer, please think of me. I’ll gladly read everything about Rose and the zombie events.
Looking forward to your progress in NaNoWriMo land!
