This year, Camp NaNoWriMo will be offered in the spring, as well as the summer! I know, not everyone gets excited over writing, especially if they have to write a novel in one month, but I’ve always been the type of person who likes impending doom, er, I mean impending deadlines.
It isn’t just about deadlines though. Camp NaNoWriMo brings you together with other people who enjoy writing. There are various options to interact with writers around the world who want to start writing their books, and hopefully finish them, in 30 days. There are forums, and believe it or not, cabin assignments if you so desire. A cabin assignment, by the way, is when you are assigned to a virtual cabin with 11 other writers. You can choose whether you wish people in your age group, your genre, or simply want a variety of others to talk to! Cabin assignments aren’t mandatory, so don’t let that keep you from writing a great novel in secrecy.
To learn more about this fun and frivolity beginning April 1 (honest, this isn’t an April Fool’s Day joke), go to CampNaNoWriMo.org. Hope to ‘see’ you there!
