Murder in Middleton Ranked #2 in Amazon Kindle Spine Tingling Horror Stories

It has been an interesting weekend for me watching my book, Murder in Middleton, climb the ranks on Amazon.com Kindle eBooks.  While I understand that when you give a book away for free it will definitely have some takers, but it was a pleasant surprise to see how many people were enjoying it during my weekend giveaway.

This morning I woke up and found it was #2 on the free Kindle eBooks for Children’s Spine Tingling Horror stories, as well as #6 for Ghosts under fiction stories.

I’m working on the second book of this series, which will have a holiday theme and will be available in November of this year.  I’ll be introducing a new character that will be Shannon’s best friend in her freshman year of college.  I’ll also be releasing the paperback copy of this new book in November as well.  The paperback copy of Murder in Middleton will be available in September of this year.

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by, and if you’re looking for the free download of this book, here’s the link:

It will be free until midnight tonight, August 19, 2012.

  1. It’s a great feeling isn’t it? With my novel ‘Thin Ice’, I’d previously been delighted when I had over 1,000 free downloads. So I was absolutely amazed last month when I had about 6,500 copies downloaded on the Amazon UK site and my book was suddenly about #5 in the Top 100 Free.
What was better though is that this spike in free ‘sales’ led to a big increase in actual, paid-for-sales over the following few weeks.
Hope you have the same good fortune – I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend when my mystery story ‘The Vault’ goes on free promotion.

    • Thanks for dropping by, Huw Thomas. Best wishes for success with your mystery story, ‘The Vault’! I’m working on my sequel to Murder in Middleton, hopefully to publish by the holidays this year.
